Default Stock cams on the 15 Road Glide

Hey guys,
Just wondering what the general consensus is on the stock cams that come with the "high output" engines on the 15 and 16 Road Glides. I had put on performance pipes and a better air cleaner but never got around to upgrading the cams. When I do install new exhaust and air cleaner on the RG I'm wondering if cams are something I should look into right away too. Thanks.

All depends on what you are after , personally I am happy with stock cams and stage 1

You build and make mods based on your end goals for the bike.

For some a stock 103 works just fine, and others still don't have enough power with a highly modded 120.

Cool that's pretty much what I'm looking for. I'm basing the comparison on the stock cams on my dyna which were, well, okay. You know, stock. I'm not looking for monster power. Just a solid upgrade in performance and sound so sounds like I'll be happy with the stock cams for now. Thanks guys.

My bro has a stage 1 upgrade with breather, Fullsac "D" X-pipe, slip-ons and SEPRT. And stock cams on his 15' RGS.
IT RUNS PRETTY DAMN WELL!

The cams in the new Rushmore bike are pretty impressive for a stock cam. I have a stage 1 setup on mine and it runs very well. I did find a set of Woods 777 cams in the classifieds that I couldn't pass up so I am going to upgrade soon. It's just hard to leave things alone! As said above, there is no "need" to change cams if you are happy with the bikes performance. You didn't mention having a tuner on your bike. If you have changed the exhaust and A/C you really need one.

Nope haven't changed anything yet. It's straight up stock (and wow do I hate not having my own touches on my bike yet).

Pipes/AC/tuner will be the first upgrade. I had a TTS Mastertune on the dyna with a thunderheader and ness AC and got great numbers with that setup even with stock cams so I definitely haven't ruled a similar setup on my Road Glide. Lots more reading and research to follow...

Stage 1, SEAC/K&N element, RUSH True Duals, Big Louies with 2.5's, PV2...

Everything else is stock. Runs and sounds GREAT!

Well I upgraded to a set of Andrews 57 cams along with a tune. Now I'm doing some head work and changing to woods 777's and moving comp to 10.6. Really excited to see what happens!! I'm the type that's not satisfied with stock knowing that with a little work I can gain a lot of power and tq. Go figure !!!
