Default Roller rockers on a touring bike???

Hello all,

I am building a SE 113 motor for my 2015 RoadGlide.
Decided on a set of Woods TW-408-6 cams for a little better street manners than the SE266E cams that come with the kit.

The 408s have .650 lift so I would like to run roller rockers.

So the question is......... is it wise to run roller rockers on a touring bike?

Pros and cons please,

Thank you for your time,

Varooom

Have SE roller rockers in the 120R in my SGS and they work fine. Also have offset rocker support plate to keep from wearing pushrods with the 266E cam with 0.658" lift. Wanted less friction and wear in the valve train.

Roller rockers in my Jim's 131 work fine but you will likely have a little extra chatter coming from your valve train. It's extra noise versus longevity IMO.

Roller anything is better, especially in the valvetrain. It will definitely help.

I'm running S&S roller rockers just because I had them kick'n around. They make a little noise and may not be as reliable but I'm not a multi coast to coast rider anymore and with your build I suspect you aren't either? With your lift, a good idea.

I was just curious and came upon this thread on another bike forum where they said you need to clearance the rocker boxes upper webbing with a grinder for roller rockers.
For some reason I can't post a link.
I am trying to learn as much as possible about V-twin motors is all.

Bought the same cams and roller rockers.. Ended up with Tman 625's in the bike, but still installed the rr's… No problems to this point!

I'm doing a 107" from FM (a good friend of mine will do the installation), should I put the rr's and what is a good affordable brand. Post some links please.

Thanks
