Default Dipstick temperature gauge.

Does anyone make an analog dipstick temperature gauge the would fit my 2000 Road King? I can only find one's for Softtails and Sportsters. Don't really want a digital gauge.

I can't answer your question but I have 2 of the digital ones and they are nice when they work but both have each been replaced under warranty, (one 3 times). I would not recommend them to anyone, HD ought to pull them from the shelves.

I had similar issues with the digital ones. Had it replaced twice, then just left it on the bike when I traded it. Somebody else's problem now.

I've had more of the Analog Oil temperature Gauges than I care to count. Sooner or later (and usually sooner) they all fail. Either they stop working, they start leaking or both. A nice idea that in actual use simply can't take environment that they need to live in.

You guys have almost talked me out of the whole idea. I think that probably is a good thing. Sometimes I just start looking around for a new geegaw to bolt onto the old girl. Now I can just forget about the temperature gauge idea and look for something new. Thanks to all who replied.

When you stop for fuel, you could just pull the dipstick out, and insert your pinky finger in the hole. With practice, you should learn when it feels "Just about right".
