Default another "note to self"

button down pockets ain't worth a hoot if they don't have a flap. wearing my newest "spent too much on an HD shirt with button pockets" was following my budd on his 2007, 110" Ultra SE on the on ramp. As I cranked through 70 mph trying to keep up, I see something out of the corner of my eye. after a second, I think to myselfwas that a pair of glasses? yep sure enough my titanium framed progressive eye glasses worked their way out of my left breast pocket between button and pocket side. Backed off, pulled over and trudged back a quarter mile and found my only slightly scratched glasses on the side of the rode. damn lucky they didn't get totally trashed. better to be lucky than smart I guess.....

but still, lesson learned: "pockets without button down flaps are not worth a hoot for holding stuff you care about or need."

I was riding backi from a rally one day and the next thing I know the left lens of my Panoptix sunglass blew out of the frame on the highway. The $150 sunglasses dropped to $75 in one second LOL! The warrenty had just expired the week before so I called them and they sent me a new pair anyway.

Glad to hear your eye glasses weren't scratched too bad!

I was riding to a destination, had a map quest map in my t-shirt pocket (that was before I had my GPS). The wind lifted it out and I dang near beat myself to death trying to trap it to my chest. I failed. Had to double back and get it. Stuffed it in my pants pocket. Lesson was learned.

Yep, being a smoker, no telling how many partial packs of smokes I've seen fly over my shoulder wearing a pocket t-shirt. I try to remember to put them in my windshield bag now.

You can add me to that list. Now my glasses always go in a case and in my pants pocket (that's not to good either) or the saddlebag, inner jacket pocket or now in my tourpack...

I leave my pocket un-buttoned...... my smokes in the pack act like slow workin popcorn popper.... eventually one starts workin it's way out of the pocket. I figure it must be time for a smoke. Nuffin like cruisin down the highway with the feet on the hiway pegs ... and burnin one at 70.
