Default new rotor issues

I picked up new Tires and Rotors for the bike, I started on the rear when I noticed an issue, the new rotors do not cover the whole hub like the stock did, has anyone ran into this problem? my worry is the I will pick up dirt and sand from dirt roads and throw off the balance, am I over thinking this, what are your thoughts and maybe a cheap suggestion for 2007 flhtc.

I would not run those!! They must be for a differrent wheel. I would think that would be extremely dangerous!!

You'd have to pack 1 side of the hub with lead in order to throw off the balance that close to the center of the wheel. The closer you are to the center, the less the effect of mass on the wheel.

they aren't the right rotors for your bike, they are for older Harleys...

I don't think it would be dangerous, but they are the wrong rotors for your wheels.

+1. The bolts hold the thing on. Should work fine if they are the right diameter but just look kinda ugly.

Nothing black RTV wont hide/fix. You're welcome.

I decided just to pull them, inside the hub is the spacer and the axel, the holes were covered in the first place so for piece of mind I will look for a different rotor, and it snowed yesterday so I won't be getting out any time soon. Thank you guys.

I recently picked up a pair of used front rotors and have the same thing going on.

Bike is a 2004 with a 2013 front wheel with the 2004 calipers. I picked up floating rotors for the 2004 due to the calipers and it works out just fine and dandy. Rotors are HD products.

It is common for people to run them like that. There is no risk of moisture entering the wheel. But if it bothers you, the MoCo makes a wheel plug kit for that exact situation. Or use RTV as previously mentioned.

Aren't the newer "Brembo" rotors larger than the older ones made for Kelsey Hayes calipers?
