Default Repairing dented tank...v this is a good one

so I got this '16 FLHXSE that got some love from the ground. In it's trip to the dirt the tank got dented, at the filler. any have any experience on getting this repaired? I've tried the PDR guys and they are not having it.

Not sure what your thinking, if it's pulling it out with out painting, don't think thats going to happen. That dent looks sharp, that's my opinion, there may be a wizard out here. Good luck.

OUCH! Sorry to hear about the inadvertent trip. That's why I have insurance. If it wasn't hit while moving when it happened, it could be covered under your comprehensive insurance with no increase on your policy. Worth doing some research.

Go with a custom tank for $300 + paint.

Bought it that way?
It'll be on you to pay for the fix.

I dented my tank with a small dent.
(White Gold Pearl.)
'07 Ultra.
My insurance paid for it, minus $250 deductable.

Total cost was in the $1,200 range but that was three years ago.
State Farm and no increase in premium.

have you tried to see if you can pop it with dry ice? and then some heat

with safety gloves put dry ice on the dent, let it sit to make the tank area cold, then remove and hit with a heat gun.

Sometimes you get lucky and the shrink/expand pops it a little at a time.

another option, although a bit riskier is to make the tank airtight and pressurize it with air

I would think that might work if it where not in the dang filler hole.
