Clearview Shield on a Street Glide
Does anyone have on of the Clearview re-curve shield on their Street Glide? I am considering one of their re-curve tall shields. I will be looking thru the shield. I am concerned about distortion at the top.
I just installed a 12 inch tall LRS shield with the re-curve. I am getting either a glare or some distortion at the bend in at the re-curve area which in in my line of sight. Very annoying. I have a 10" LRS that I look over which is cool most of the time. But I like having the taller one for times when I need more wind protection. The Clearview is slanted back which should work nicely as long as I don't get a glare or distortion. Thanks guys!

just get a stock HD shield, usually under $50 used
HD Lexan shields are optically good and the Lexan won;t shatter if hit by a rock- some ebay products may.
any shield will distort if you are looking through a curved portion, it acts as a lens
I cut my windscreens to match my seated height, generally I like the top edge to appear to intersect the road about 40' ahead of the bike, this will throw most of the bugs and grit over my head. and i look over the screen, I can slouch and tuck into it in crap weather
