Question Street glide rear turn bar didn't fit, any suggestions for alternatives?

So i got a very nice street glide rear turn bar off a very nice user here on the forums but it didn't fit my bike. i got in a rush and bought the wrong kind. it's the straight one with no dip in the middle for the tail light. i even tried to put on a low pro drag specialties led light and it still wouldn't clear. I can own up to my mistake, but i still need to replace the stock turn bar. specifically, i need to get my tag into a legal position and off my bag rails.

so the question, has anyone tried the kuryakyn kit? and can i use harley lenses on the kit? anyone have anything for sale that would fit my needs? does anyone make a stock looking turn bar with a tag mount and light?

on a side note, i have a very nice rear turn signal bar for a street glide for sale if anyone needs one

you'd need to get the Canadian 68629-05 version- their SG's retain the bullseye

I have a roadking bar/plate mount and plate light on my 09 flhtc.

cost about $70 from a forum member

plug and play, requires a splice for the plate leds if you have the fender tip light

add for the solid top lens or a BAL-1R

thanks for the info. do you know the part number for the road king bar/mount/light assembly? i'm not in love with the large bar, but if i put on the SG bar, then i'll need to change my front signals to bullets. then i'll want led's. then i'll need a load EQ. then i'll want to do a run.turn.brake mod. then i'll have spent $1000 on turn signals.

i think the road king bar would fit me best atm.

thanks again for chiming in!

i'm also looking at the softbrake relocation mount. basically hangs off the turn bar mounts. is there anyway to get lights on it that way without buying a new bottom window brake light?

that bump out roundy part is the plate light.

I got this off the forum classifieds- an RK owner swapping to a SG.

with the detachable tourpak I really was after a a plate mount

the RK bar is a little narrower than the FLHTC bar

I have since changed it up, a run/turn/stop module and red lenses

+1 on this and I think the part # is still used on the Canadian model as mentioned before.

Lots of great options. Here's one more for under $50. If don't mind drilling some holes in fender you could mount this Custom Dynamics lighted led plate under your taillight. Did LEO say something to you about current tag location or lighting?
