Default Mono Tubes / Progressive or V-Twin Manufacturing?

I hear alot about Progressive Mono Tubes, but I ran seen a company V-Twin Manufacturing that also make mono tubes. I want to lower the front end of my 2010 Road Glide and plan on switching to Mono Tubes. The V-Twins Mono Tubes are $175 and the Progressive are $380. Both look similar

Anyone running V-Twin Manufacturing Mono Tubes?

Thanks in advance

Default Well...

I did the Progressive monotubes. Once you lower the forks you are also reducing the travel, when you reduce the travel it gets stiffer. Long story short...I ended up taking out the monotubes and went with Progressive springs. Better ride and 25% of the cost.

I also used 1 in. dropped prog. mono's and took them out for a set of Legend Axeo's
Haven't gotten enough time due to weather to really test them but the short (30 mile) ride I took over all the nasty roads I could find I believe they are going to be great.
Anyone want a set of used ( one season) mono's for $100.00 plus shipping? (G)

The lowering mono tubes have not gotten many favorable reviews.

Groucho!
Did you install the Progressive fork spring kit #11-1567?
I've been also reading a lot of posts about the Mono's being more harsh. I'd like to reduce front dive a bit but still end up with a front end that will absorb the small chatter bumps.
When I replaced my stock springs with a Progressive spring kit on my Sporty it worked out well.

I have the progressive monos on my 2011 and had them on my 2008. We also put them on my son's 2000 Roadking. I like them? i am a big guy and would blow the fork seals every year or two. All good once i went with progressive monotubes. Also they handle nice in the turns. To each their own I guess? We travel alot and put on alot of miles each year. They have been fine. My 2 cents.

I have the 1" lowering Progressive monotubes and really like them, no more nose dive while stopping. It's all subjective though.

Just put standard height on my 2010 Ultra. Used 2 clips since I ride 2 up. Even 1 up I really like the ride
