Default Replacement Wheels for '10 Classic

While I'm ok with the looks of the factory spokes on my 2010 Road King Classic (ABS) and they've been trouble-free, they're not aging well cosmetically and I'd like to replace them with something a bit more modern. I'd be able to ditch the tubes in the process.

I did a few searches, but I'm looking for a bit of quick feedback here. I'm inclined to stick with stock size rubber, it works fine for my easy NorCal coastal rides. Does stock sized rubber limit me to wheels from a '09+ Glide or Ultra? My factory tires are now about 7 years old so I'm going to replace them, so not 100% tied to stock rubber sizes.

Regarding aftermarket wheels, I'm open to the idea, but want direct bolt-on and of course troublefree. Maybe a chrome wheel with 10 spokes or something like that, would look nice with the wide whitewalls.

Thanks.

I have a set of stock take-offs from a '13 Road Glide Ultra that will work. You can have them for the cost of shipping. Very good shape. Rubber is good too, but may be aging out.

Keith, that is an exceptionally generous offer...and one I might take you up on after I sort through my options--I'm not opposed to spending a little dough to upgrade the wheels/look though.

What did you upgrade to?

Agitators.

Whatever you'd like to do, just PM me and we can set it up. No pressure.

Wink

You can fit the stock wheels from any similar year of Touring model, or take a look at the H-D website Shop tab, to see alternative styles. Then there is the aftermarket, where the choice is limitless, if you have deep pockets! Which may make Keith's offer irresistable....

I have spoked wheels, and they are getting grubby and tough to clean. I'm interested in those wheels if the other guy does not want them. Thanks!

After some consideration, I'm going to focus my search on something that's all chrome to match with my Classic's theme.

Keithhu, thanks again for the generous offer and advice.

I'm considering maybe Agitators or even stock size Chisels. Since I'm buying tires at the same time I'm fairly open to learning about upsizing the front wheel, but not to the point of a super short sidewall, the roads here aren't super smooth.

I'm down with $1000-$1500 for wheels, maybe $2K all in with tires.
