Default Windshield Adhesive

Great idea
I thought about foam tape but it will get wet and may retain water. The adhesive is waterproof. It may not work but I'm going to give it a try as soon as my parts come back from the painter.
Yes, the w/s adhesive should let you remove the shield anytime you want. It will get a little harder in winter as the temps drop but still be workable.

Yes I did, he also suggested taping the inside and outside of the windshield.

He mentioned he has come across this before and has no idea why it happens.

Personally I think its the recurve and the 15" height just grabbing too much wind

I have the 8" and 10" windshields, maybe that is why I have had no issues then. Less wind resistance.

I have the freedom 10 on my 07 Ultra. It was sliding also. I bought a new foam strip from Harley and it now sits tight and doesn't slide anymore.

I know my 2014 Limited had a rubber strip where the w/s met the fairing. But I noticed that on my 17 Limited, they deleted it. De-contenting at it's best. Just like Harley got many complaints about the relocated PTT switch location on the 14-17 bikes with CB. So for 2017, they deleted the CB altogether. Takes care of the complaints.

Well good old hockey tape worked best. Electrical tape was still too slippery, but hockey tape has a rough surface, enough to provide the grip to hold the windshield in place.

Simple white adhesive / medical tape works very well. Put it on both sides if needed, right below the sight line of the shield. All the windshield needs is a little friction to keep it from moving. Got that tip from Fast Aire a few yrs ago.
