Hello. You didnt mention on why you need a new cover. But if it's weeping like mine was you can take it off. Get some rubbing alcohol and thoroughly clean that gasket. Really work at the gasket it with your fingers and then allow to dry. Clean the cover as well as where it mates to the mc. Then put it back together and tighten (I forget the torque but it's very little --maybe 6-8 inch pounds. You want it snug but not so much that the gasket bulges. This worked on a few of
my bikes. Before spending the money on a new cover, I gave this a try. Can't take credit for this as I learned it here. Good luck.

Thought I would look at Ronnie's and Boardtracker for you to see if they might have it cheaper. According to the parts manual, your bike requires gasket P/N 45005-05. Ronnie's shows it at $7.49. To get the lid, (P/N 46423-05A) it includes the gasket and they have it for $35.49. So, $40.00 from the dealer doesn't make it worth the hassle to order on line.

$ 8.00 for the new gasket and 15 minutes and 2 fingers.
Turn handlebars to level master cylinder
Tie a shop rag around the master cylinder
Remove screws and gasket (discard)
Clean both surfaces
Install cover/gasket and tighten screws using thumb and index finger only.
I forgot: disconnect negative battery cable.

If that includes labor...it's reasonable. The time to move your bike into the service area, do the replacement, move the bike out, clean up...is not free. You're lucky they don't charge a 1 hour labor minimum.
