That old style latch was fine until the new ones came out! These "how the hell did you do that?" Type of mods are my favorites.

Good luck, I hope you succeed and document the process. A lot of guys will be following suit if you do. I'd like to have them, but my CVO paint job would make it very expensive to swap bags. Keep us updated.
