TBW entension on 14" bar Question?
I bought a set of Santee 14" bars with the 13" burly wiring and cable extension kit. My question is to I need to extend the throttle by wire? it was not included in the kit, and Burly says with their 13" bars it is not needed. Below are both bar specs. I would really hate to waste money on something I don't need. it would be even worse to have to pull wires through bars twice!!
Bike:2012 street glide
Santee Bars: 14" high, 37 wide, 8.5 pullback, 15.75 center
Burly Bars: 13 high, 38.25 wide, 5.5 pullback, 11.5 center

It seems with the Rushmore updates, they included longer wiring than previous models.
OP, only one true way to find out. You have to pull the old bars and wiring so just measure it up when you get the new bars if no one here can get you a definitive answer. You can always order the extension to be safe and return it if it's not needed.

I just put 13's on my '12 Ultra. The SE TGS is plenty long enough for what you are doing.
Pull your stock wires through the bars before you do any soldering. What you have are plug and play. I soldered my extensions on first, it was painful trying to pull them through with the soldered - heat shrink areas. If I was to do another, I think I'd just plug in the extensions and heat shrink on them and call it good.
