For those that have had this problem you'll recognize the part number! Yup, my left fairing bracket is snapped[:@]. Noticed it while in the process of changing my bars. In an attempt to save myself $36.80, anyone just bolt/weld on a brace or should I just buy it and beef it up??

Just bought 96B (right side) for my bike. Noticed it was broken a couple of months ago when I installed my Hogtunes -- yeah it takes me a while to get around to these things. Anyway, my part costs $9.25 and shouldn't take more than ten minutes to replace. Bike has 28k miles, so assume it should last a while. Left side is okay.

I took a thicker piece of aluminum bent it in a vice (as mine were cracked at top bend) and pop rivited to the bracket. No problems yet. I would bet there are many bikes out there with these broken as that fairing sure shakes at idle!!!

I might try pop riveting something to it. Thanks for the suggestion.
