I rode to Sturgis last year on I 90 at 80mph with a stiff side wind, at that time I had a Batwing Fairing. I recently bought a RoadGlide and love the way it handles in the wind. Yes it took a little getting used to but I've never had a better handling bike. I love it!

Ah dunno - it may be an issue of perception. I rode almost 200k on Goldwings, and gotta tell ya - the UC does a LOT better in the wind IMO! We ran 250+ miles in winds comin' outta Tuba City, AZ earlier this week - when we got ta Gallup, the weather reports said that we rode through winds of 45-65 mph, with gusts of 100 mph! Ah honestly don't think we hit any of the 100 mph winds, but ah'm confident we hit some of the 60+ stuff - there were literally sheets of tin flyin' through the air! Ah've hit similar winds with a Wing, and guarantee ya this UC did a LOT better! Don't git me wrong - it warn't no cake walk, but we made it!

Yesterday it was windy as hell coming home from work.On Hwy 25 near Hollister it is always windy in the afternoon but yesterday it was worse. The wind blows perpendiculer to the Hwy.It was pushing me around pretty good. There was a rider ahead of me and I could see him being pushed around also.
I dont think it matters what kind of bike your on when the wind is coming from the side.
