Default Road King Special

Saw my 1st black one (in person)
Pretty sharp.

Lets see, strip it down some. Black instead of chrome
& charge more for it . . .

YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do really like it.

call it 'stripped down' if you want, but the only thing stripped on it is the windshield and passing lights, which are easily remedied. otherwise, abs/security standard, upgraded wheels (19 front, 18 rear), extended bags, and gloss black engine covers. all that stuff costs money.

and yeah, I like it too....

Go ahead, call me old school, but chrome still puts a sparkle in my eyes...

...and don't forget the shorter suspension!

I think the Road King Special is sick but, for me, it still lacks something compared to the Standard. I just can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the bling!

It also has Stage III bag speakers and 200w amp neatly packaged inside of the left bag, and a completely wireless bluetooth controller. I thought that was pretty slick.

If the one you saw had that it was a dealer add on. They don't come stock with that.

I did not know that, the dealer did a nice job on the install then - it looked factory.

I gotta' tell ya', I'm glad the local dealer doesn't have a charcoal RK Special, I'd probably buy it....add a windshield with the hardware powder coated black.

I'm not a chrome fan...never have been.
