light bar on trunk
Saw a Road King Police Bike that had a light bar on rear of trunk that when brakes were applied it would blink a couple times then stay on. This bar was 11 1/2 inches long and about 1 1/2 inches wide.
Does anyone know if and where this is available? Sure would like to add one to the trunk of my Ultra Classic.
Thanks
Bill

If you want 'flashing' take a look-see at smart-flash module (just one of many). It is listed at the bottom of the following link:

This is from Squadfitters.com, a police motorcycle equipment supplier and seems to be the same as what you saw:

I'd like to get some more light on the back of my bike. I have the leather tour pak, but I'd still put something on it, as there is precious little back there for anyone to see. Do you know what that squadfitters light needs for wiring offhand? I'm willing to drill and wire, but I'm not an electrician by any stretch of the imagination. I'd just like to do a simple install on the back of the tourpak to get more visible and less likely to get rear-ended.
If you have the 2007 Harley Davidson Part & Accessories catalog, on page 431 is their Tour-Pak Spoiler Kit. Looks like they come in all colors for $219.95. Also have Saddlebag spoiler kits for about $189.95.

Yooper: A friend has this squadfitters/Whelen light mounted on the bottom of his Ultra Tour Pak. He used an L-shaped bracket that attached to the bottom of the tour pak then mounted the light bar to the bracket. The light takes only two wires, a positive and a ground and is simply wired to the brake light power and ground.
With your premium leather SE tour pak the bottom of the box probably be the best place to mount the light. You could also run the wiring along the TP rack, under the seat and tap the brake light wiring at its socket under the seat.An HD service manual will identify the brake light positive wire and the ground wire you need.
Squadfitters is basically a small, boutigue supplier of police motorcycle products and offers a 10% discount on these electrical products. My experience with them is somewhat limited but theyhave always beenvery helpful. You could also Google "Whelen" and find other vendors to check on the pricing. HTH.
If you really want some more lights, check out the Squadfitters website. My friend also installed LED's that mount on the rear portion of the saddlebag guard rails; again these, too, are on the squadfitters.com website. Simple two-wire installation and they are bright; no load equalizer required.
