Default fixing chrome

i really didnt know where to post this one. so i thought i would start here. i have a dent in my pipes. its a small one as you can see in the pic. does anybody have any suggestions on what i can do. can i file it down and smooth it out? is there "chrome" paint i can use to touch it up after i straighten out? i understand it wont be back to new. i can live with it the way it is it is not a real eye sore at all for me. but if i had the chance to clean it up i will.

There's not much you can do.

I am concerned that any "fixing" is going tomake matters worse. I have to agree with XXXFLHRCI on this one. Tough break.[sm=oopssign.gif]

You might be able to swap sides to put the damage in a less conspicuous spot.

All you can do is keep some chome polish or wax on it so it will not rust.

You might look for a chrome shop nearby and give them a call, send pics, etc. There's one here in Dalla sarea that does both chrome and powder coat pretty reasonably.

I had some simular damage on my old pipes, i broke out the ol dremel and carefully used the drum with fine grit to even it out, then i used a polishing wheel and medium polish till it shined. Not perfect, but lasted for almost 2 years with no one really noticing...good luck with it
