If he had a DVT in his leg it would probably be too swollen to ride. Could be for a number of issues. Wear the the right gear and ride.

Had triple by-pass 11/1/16 and had to be on blood thinners for 1 year after surgery. all went well no issues.

Blood thinners and blood pressure. Also had neck surgery 7 years ago. Still, I ride.

Artificial heart valve (titanium), don't need the little flapper valves clogging up.

Started on Coumadin 13 years ago, been on xarelto for the last 3-4 years.

Have some whacky thick blood. Had 3 DVTs before I was 30, 2 PEs at the same time, one each lung when I was 33. Only 42 now.

I dont do anything I wouldn’t normally do. Doctor is always yelling at me. Tell me wife I’d rather die with a smile than live with a frown.

I was diagnosed w Afib 4 years ago at 63 yrs old. Immediately put on blood thinners for 2 years. After the ablation one more year of thinners now just a baby aspirin every day. Never even considered not riding....goldie

Yes. It's not he riding that's a problem, it's the wrenching. They bought 50 pairs of Kevlar sleeves for me at work and I brought a few home.

Hell I picked up a 1" ss pipe plug and the thread cut me.

Riding until it's not fun any more.

I don't worry about bleeding to death. The impact will probably kill me.
