My brake lever on my handle bar is loose and making my rear break lights flicker. Only way to stop it is to push it forward and hold it. Any suggestions?
Did you have the housing apart? If so, you might have lost the little spring clip that goes behind the switch. Of course, without a year/model that is just a guess.
It may be time to get a simple master cylinder rebuild kit. Sometimes the piston (that your lever pushes to activate the brakes) gets gummed up inside and the seals get worn preventing it from returning all the way after you release the lever. Which in turn keeps the lever from closing the brake light switch on its own.
