Allow me to revive this 4 1\2 year old thread. I had similar problems back in July on the 107 degree weather. Sounds like the folks here know more than the local Dealership. They told me not to worry if it works fine now. My pedal would go all the way to the floorboard and do nothing in the way of stopping. Thirty minutes later it is working fine--- as it is today. It comes and goes. I do my own oil changes and little stuff, but I am trying to decide about this brake job. Am I correct in that you have to pull the rear wheel\tire assembly? The master cal rebuild looks simple enough.

The wheel does not need to come off. The caliper can be unbolted.

Lyndall has a good brake maintenance writeup (although it is pre-Brembo). It doesn’t cover seals though.
