Default Best GoPro mount for Ultra

2018 Ultra Limited ... what is the best GoPro mount you have found ... and where did you mount it?

I tried searching as I'm sure this has been discussed many times but came up with very little. On my old Ultra (2008) there was too much viabration but on this new one I think it might just work ... what ideas have you guys come up with?

I have the mount that goes into the switch control housing and it works great, what I think though that improves on it is getting the extensions to give you more flexibility on how high, far, left, right, etc. that you want to film from. It depends on what POV you want to capture, be it from the handlebars, in front of the fairing, above the windscreen, etc.

I bought mine here, guy makes himself and I'm very pleased with it. Simple but very effective design.

I have the Hog Tag Collar mounted on the fork cow bell. The view gives you a little view of the front fender and is pretty stable. I used it with a remote on the handlebar.

I have a kit from ciro3d that has a ball that mounts on the center windshield bolt. It's easy to route the power cable because the power adapter is nearby. Run it through the air vent.

No NO NO !!!! The closer you get the camera to the mount is where you get less vibration in my experience....

I bought the same mount, but due to my Ultra vibrations the camera plastic support broke and I was lucky to find the camera a few feet back just because I was going very slow. I've ordered another type of mount that attaches to the outside of the fairing (C30-CFM) from www.eglidegoodies.com hoping that works better than the previous one!

I have mine mounted to the handle bars at the switch housing using Ram Mount switch housing *****. I was told the bike would vibrate too much at the bars, but have found the video to be quite stable. The camera looks over the fairing and when adjusted correctly will even capture the gauges.

I use a RAM ball on the outside windshield bolt.

yep, that's the ticket

the software generally takes care of the vibrations, I didn't find it to be a problem at all
