Default Should I Road King classic 54k miles...

I知 looking at a Road King to purchase it has 52k miles on it and I知 afraid of the high mileage... looks like it has been very nicely maintained but for 6400k I知 a bit nervous with 52k miles.... thoughts of the group
thanks in advance

What year? Mine's a 09 with near 90k, with regular maintenance and pretty gentle touring miles. It's as strong as when I rolled it out of the dealer and I wouldn't think about getting rid of it at this point. Thing is I know every little detail of what my bike has been through, you really just have to take someone's word. Is the deal worth not knowing?

Cycle Trader has bikes with less mileage for less money in the area.

https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/...ING-5003798752

https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/...SIC-5003492136

That's in about 30 seconds of searching.

I have an 03 purchased used with 50k on it. I've had it a year and put at least 12k on it. I put some money into maintenance just for peace of mind. In reality, I could have fixed the cam chain tensioners, changed fluid and been done.

A guy I work with is selling an 06 with 18K for $6300. Needs front brakes and it's in good condition, not excellent.

Make sure the cam chain tensioner has been done.
I paid $5k for my 02 RKC, two years ago. It had 27k miles on it.
I am at 42k miles now, no issues at all (except humming from a tire-but that the tire, not the bike).

That 02 crank is the strongest of the twin cams.
