Ok, then how much margin should they add to it to sell it to you? Or do you expect them to buy the radios and sell them for cost? It would be one thing if they were an HD dealer. This crap is expensive enough, adding hundreds more to the cost would make it even more unattractive. Pretty easy to just drop ship your order to them, let Soundz do the programing, and ship it all to you, ready to run.

 

Not really..... The MoCo will already not sell certain items in bulk, like oil filters, because they don't want to stock independent shops to compete with their dealers...

An example: Andrews cams used to sell a complete upgrade kit to convert a spring tensioner twin cam, to hydraulic tensioners. The kit had an '07+ cam plate/hydraulic tensioners, etc. with conversion cams..... then the MoCo stopped selling them bulk orders of '07+ cam plates, hydraulic tensioners, etc.... Andrews still sells conversion cams and posts a list of Harley part numbers the customer needs to buy to do the conversion...

I can't see Soundz being able to buy any kind of bulk new GTS radios.... no one will sell them to them, the MoCo is watching.....

I think I would take the $2400 and put it towards a 2019 before spending it on a new radio

I just bought my 18 CVO 7 months ago, It would pay for me to buy the package instead of getting a 19 just for the radio, the 2400 actually works in that case, it hurts for sure, but it works...

 

Would you do it if you would have MY 18 model? The loss in the first year ... The HD solution will not significant less.
