Like others, I have to recommend the newer frame and rushmore fairing.

If you end up going with an older model get at least a 2010. The 07, 08, and 09 fifth gear whine was a thing due to the straight cut gears.
Also, get the latest SE compensator...

Loved my 11 RGU. But I lust after my 16 RGS. All the upgrades are worth it.

definitely 09 or newer.

True -- that fifth gear whine is pretty strong, but how else will I know I'm in fifth gear?

It's like an audible gear indicator instead of a lighted gear indicator.

If I had the choice, I'd go for the newest RG too, if only for the updated saddlebag lids.

I would suggest the Rushmore 15+ models due to the fairing redesign.
My 13 Road Glide Ultra has a couple of broken screw mounts on the outer fairing.
The later fairing design is so much better than earlier models.

And yes, those black unis are a curse!!!

I just picked up a 16’, wasn’t in the market, but after a 30 minute test ride I was sold. Don’t know about old RG’s but I definitely recommend the 15-16 Rushmore with the 103”.
