Default Locktight on axle

Just finished putting a new rear tire on my 03 RKC. Was fun tearing it down to be able to remove the wheel and all went back nice. Gave me a chance to clean and detail those rotor and sprocket bolts, swing arm, caliper etc. etc. I got if all back together and got thinking, I never put any locktight on the cone nut for the axle. I don't recall reading that I should have and I did torque it to 100 ft./lbs. Should I have ?

Thanks for the info. There is a Circlip on the end of the axle so that that it will never fall off. It may come loose but never off.

Thanks again

grease or anti-sieze on the axle and bearing areas.... but no locktite on bolts back there. If..... IF.... I were to locktite an axle nut, it would be the green or purple type used for small, itty bitty fasteners.

Not necessary!

Recall reading awhile back of someone who bought a bike only to discover the previous owner had used red Loctite on the derby cover screws!!!!!!

No loctite. It's a castle nut for just that reason, to keep it from backing off.
