MM fuel injection is pretty obsolete (parts and anyone who works on it are far and few between). Some other parts (like cruise control modules) are also obsolete. If the cruise works and it has a carb it may be a good choice if the price is right.

I would go a little newer...

You can find issues with any year H-D, including the new M8's. If a 2000 suits your needs, go for it.

Strong bottom ends. If you get a carb model all the better. Still have the spring cam tensioners but you can get the upgrade kit to make them hydraulic. My son has a 2000 which we completely rebuilt once. Runs great. They are almost classics now. LOL Check the swing arm carefully where the axle passes throught the slotted hole (unless it's been upgraded). They were prone to crack there.

I have a 2000 ultra classic. I love mine and can't see any need to buy newer at this point.

If she runs good...and the price is right I would buy in a heartbeat.
You can upgrade the swing arm.....and if the MM fuel injection has not failed yet then I would think good to go. Not all them were bad....lol

I have 2000 FLHTCI. I recently replaced the fuel lines (internal and external) and fuel pump. The parts were not hard to find - local dealer had them in stock. I don't know what parts of the MM FI system are hard to find, so far I've had no problems. I've read several claims that parts are hard to find, but no specifics.
