Default Street Glide Purchase Help

Hello everyone

I'm currently looking to upgrade bike to a Street Gide. I'm looking for input on what everyone thinks on the 2 bikes I'm looking at.
The price is the same on either bike here in Canda, but one is older but with upgrades and it's special.
This is what I'm looking at:

2019 Street Glide standard no extra's standard 2-year warranty

2017 Street Glide Special, Only 2800kms on it, basically brand new. Upgrades include Screaming Eagle Street Cannon mufflers, SE high flow air cleaner & Pro street tuner. Le Pera Daddy Long Legs seat, Harley chopped tour pack, 12in LA Chopper twin peaks bars, Harley grips & mirrors, Harley cover and battery tender and it has 3 years extended warranty still. All take off/original parts as well, and it will be safety and used sellers package

Just looking for your thoughts.

Thanks in advance.

So basically the seller of the '17 (is it dealer or private?) is saying the mods they've added are worth two years' depreciation. If you were trading in the '17 at a dealership they wouldn't value those mods nearly that high. So I'd be trying to get the '17 for less than the '19.

The first thing I noticed was the Le Pera Daddy Long Legs seat. First question you have to answer is, "Do you need the seat for your leg length, or do you need a stock seat". I know that's not the end-all point of the discussion, but if you need it, then that makes the '19 more expensive (without it). If you don't need it, that makes the '17 more expensive; both by the cost of a replacement seat that fits you the way it should.

Also, the Special will have Cruise, ABS, Navigation and factory Security. All are expensive to add to a non-special bike.

If you like the upgrades on the special and they are upgrades you would want I would go with the special. The ‘19 has a 2yr warranty but you mention the ‘17 has a 3yr extended warranty. The ESP often cover more than the factory warranty. As mentioned the ‘17 may have more on it like the larger radio with nav, security and ABS. Those 3 things along are a couple of grand. Lastly check NADA and KBB to see if the asking prices are inline for your area. Good luck

For the '19 model year, all non-Special Street Glides for the Canadian market get all the things you mentioned as standard equipment. And cruise has been standard equipment on all touring bikes since at least 2013.

Even my '18 model standard Street Glide came with the 6.5GT and security system standard.

My only contribution would be to assess the mechanical improvements that HD may have made between 2017 and 2019. The 2019 MAY save you some heartache down the line.

Thanks for all the input.
Yes in Canada those items come standard:

The 19 would probably be easier to sell down the round maybe.
