Detents for 1st and 2nd seem to be the deepest of all the gears, and neutral the shallowest, at least on my bike. Good bit of force needed to pop it out of 1st or 2nd. Been known to overshoot neutral as a result, even with the engine not running and the bike on the stand.
Is it a “problem” to me? No, just an annoyance.

I bought my bike during the summer and don't recall any problematic issues finding neutral but during the fall and early winter I started having the annoyance of noticeable increase in finding neutral. I started thinking WTF. So one day I started a list of all the various scenarios of finding neutral in the summer as compared to the when it was colder. The one thing that changed for me was the boots that I would be wearing. In the summer, 8" tactical boots---light weight, cushioning and no real change in heel height in relation to the sole and , whereas in the colder months, 11" waterproof engineer boots---noticeable difference in heel height and hardness of the sole. Of course, all of this is subjective reasoning. Just sayin'
