Default Fuek Pak

Purchased a V& H fuel pak - anyone velcro the tour pak to the ECM. I have a 3" X2" piece that was made for a GPS mount. Thought that might make it easier to install and remove if needed.

I used the spider mount. You shouldn't have to remove the Fuel Pak, but if you do it's not that big a hassle to remove the 2 screws holding it to the ECM...

Also just happened to think about it- if the adhesive on the velcro lets go (heat, cold, etc.) the Fuel Pak would be flopping around loose under the side panel. Not good...

I think the supplied mount is great, much better than PC111's tie wrap IMO

On my 07 with the supplied spider mount the cover was touching the unit when installed and would not let the cover completely seat. So I removed the mount and just tie wraped the unit to the ECM. I can still slide the unit out from under the tie wrap with some side to side motion but it has not came out on its own in the 1700 miles I have had it.
