Default Jiffy stand extension question

2006 Ultra

Short inseam makes reaching the OEM stand quite difficult when it is in the down position. All the extensions I see look like the extension only makes the stand either taller or longer, but not farther toward the rear. Toward the rear is exactly what I need though.

Has anyone bought an extension and then bent it rearward? If so, does it not then contact the primary?

Thanks

I put one of these on my wife’s 2006 Ultra because of the same problem. It really made a difference for her, she likes it.

Thank you. But, in the HD photo of the part it looks as if the top of the extension is actually farther forward, rather than farther rearward. Is this simply a photo illusion? Also, how difficult did you find drilling the hole that is necessary?

While it does seem counter intuitive, it really works very well.

Drilling the hole was easy. Drill a small 1/8” hole first, then drill the size the instructions say too.

I've got the extension on my '13 Road Glide Ultra but I've also had my seat modified by Mean City Cycles to get my feet closer to the earth. if you're riding solo have you considered putting shorter rear shocks (12") say from a StreetGlide off of E-bay. If those don't work resell to get some money back out of them. Just a couple of ideas.

My OL has the extension on her stand. It has worked great for years, but she decided to bend it for some weird reason.

The Jiffy Stand snapped at the weld. On a Sunday afternoon. In Plankinton, SD.

😒

Luckily, we were able to get a new one and extension at Black Hills Harley Davidson when we got into Rapid City.

I have the extension on my road glide. It does work well. The new contact point for your foot is higher by a couple inches making it easier to reach. You will not need to bend it (the Harley version anyways).
