Searched without any descent answers... So anybody experience this? 2017 Road Glide Special, Boob Box 6.5.... I see used ones for sale, just wondering what the dealer is going to tell me.

What quit the speaker or the boob box?

 

No clue which has the problem, speaker or the head unit.. Figured I wasn't the first.....

 

Without knowing any particulars, I'm going to say the left speaker is blown. The dealer is going to get you a new speaker for free, if it's under warranty or get you a new speaker for too much money, if it's not under warranty.

 

Most likely the speaker is blown, Harley is famous for using the cheapest speakers money can buy.

 

I like what I'm reading... A bad speaker would be okay with me. Just called a bud that I know did an up grade, he's dropping his originals in the mail, also just found used ones on ebay..... Thanks guys, I'll give it a try!

 

Before you go replacing part, check the speaker to see if its the problem first. If you have a portable radio or a long pair of wires, hook up the speaker to another music source that you can unhook a speaker and hook up this one. If it does not work, then its the speaker. But if it DOES, then its the head unit. You could also switch the wires between the left and right speakers.

Oh, the radio adjustment wasn't moved to the right by chance? Just thought of that.
