Default Seat to model bike question - Road King Special

I have the Lucky Dave seat on the RKS and like it for everyday use but it's not a touring seat, not for me.

Is there any noticeable difference in any kind of how a seat mounts/fits between a Road King Standard, Road King Special, Street or Road Glide and the frame/dash/tank configuration?

Corbin for example on their website has seats for the Street Glide which aren't categorized under the Road King section of the website. I'm curious if there is a significant difference between the Road King standard and special where mounting a seat would make a difference.

Between the years 2009-2019 there is no difference how the seats fit on any touring bike and they all interchange. I’m not sure about 2008

I have a 2008 cvo road king and haven't had any issues with using any touring seats made for 2009 up...the 08s take the new seats but the old style backrest. I use a seat, for long distance, from a 2012 ultra that's like riding on cloud compared to my stock seat...veey happy I spent that 100 bucks

I'm not sure about the 09 and up but the RK's had a shorter snout on the front of the seat vs batwing bikes. The "dashboard" on the RK is longer than the Batwing bikes 08 and under.
