Default 12v power outlet recommendation needed

Have 15 sgs.

Looking for a 12v power outlet to mount in my detach tour pack. The one harley sells connects into the speaker pods, which I don't have.
Will the 13 and down one work for me?

Or will I have to go after market?

I was looking at the DS-mpb that is on eglude goodies website.

Let me know what you guys have done

I would probably do the aftermarket one. If you have lights on your detach tp, you could wire in with the lights. If not. You could run a wire with an SAE plug and plug into the tender pigtail. Easy to disconnect.

I run the Bad Dad Tour pack power port in my Chopped trunk, and never had issues. The wife is always charging her phone, and sometimes we charge our Sena intercoms. Made in the USA helps too.

I bought a dual usb charger 2 years ago for my EGC. Hooked up to the battery and ran through the antenna hole in the tour pack. It works perfect. I would use some Velcro instead of the stuff it comes with to mount it in the pak though. I think it was under 20 bucks on amazon and it has an inline fuse.

I'm on a Switchback and wanted to get a 12v port going. I ordered about 4 or 5 different cheap ones that connect to the battery tender connectors. Ultimately, I went with the HD 12V connector and no regrets. HD's unit is very robust, wiring is well protected and is designed to attach through the accessory port rather than connecting to the battery tender clips. This means that when the bike is turned off, there is no power draw. The ones that I experimented with, ALL had power draw, except for the ones specifically with a power switch.
