Question Road King Classic rim swap

'06 FLHRCI I need to ditch the spoke rims. What year and makes of other Road King rims can I swap out with?

No hits on the search function (maybe I did it wrong?)

I love the look of the classic RK , but traveling a lot convinced me to go with solid rims . I also put hard bags on her too , now it looks just like a standard . I went from the standard 16" front spoked rim to the 17" standard rim I have now .

Here is the chart I used to help .. https://ridewrightwheels.com/pages/m...-fitment-chart

2000-2008 touring wheels all should work. The only difference was the bearings. And you can get the right bearings for either wheels. They are either 25mm or 1 inch axle. I totally get the convienience of tubeless tires as I JUST got a flat myself. But I would never ditch my beautiful laced profile spokes for nothing. 😀👍

Inner tubes, loosening spokes, and detailed cleaning were my reasons for no spokes. I would rather ride than clean, there is enough death wobble in baggers that "flexible wheels" aren't needed as a complicating factor. I bought an 08 RHC new and part of the deal was to get rid of the spokes, the leather bags, and up cut mufflers, didn't much like the whitewalls either but they disappeared at the first change anyway. Since the dealer did the work so I ASSUME they are standard Road King wheels of that vintage. Almost 94,000 miles on it now and have never needed to use a tooth brush on the wheels. Have factory cruise control as an extra benefit and it takes a very sharp eye to spot that it isn't a standard Road King. I was amazed by a guy in AutoZone that spotted the round tank medallions and asked if that wasn't something other than a standard Road King.

What's not to like about spokes? Hmmm let's see...
-inner tubes
-Detailing the spokes or keeping them clean.
-Looseing or even broken spokes...

They add a very good "nostalgic" look to the bike, but a tubeless tire/rim combination is hard to beat for a safer ride.

Anything touring from 07 and down will fit. Difference as said above would be bearings which you want to change anyway if using used wheels.
I really like the Harley wagon wheels with a polished lip.

Not many polish the lip. But when you do it really looks great. I always wanted to have the black part powder coated for better deeper shine and polish the lip on my 03.

I've grown to really like the looks of my spokes, but I'm wondering how much total weight could I save?

I saw were somebody swapped for carbon fiber rims or something, way too damn much price wise, but I wonder what affordable alternatives are there and what weight could be saved. It just might be a major performance improver.
