I was gonna suggest a three hole punch and a 3-ring binder....but y'all beat me to it. But better yet I like the idea of going to Staples and having the bound copy turned into a spiral binder!! Thanks for the tip!!!
I treat my manual like a bible.... I try to be careful using it, try not to get the pages dirty, don't flatten out the spine to keep it open..... I would just hate the thought of ruining one and having to buy another!!! Thanks for the tip Uncle!!!

If you do the 3 ring punch, don't put the stick-on circle reinforcing rings on the pages. The glue tends to get on the metal binder rings and makes the pages more difficult to turn. I read that Staples or OfficeMax can cut the narrow slots in the pages and put them in an expandable type plastic binder, that might be worth looking into ....

Wow.... I must be very lucky...
Here are the HD Service/Parts/Electronic manuals I've amassed over the years.....
With the exception of the PowerVision Manual (spiral bound) and both volumes of the 2001 Electrical Diagnostic Manuals (Comb Binding), all the others came with the traditional "perfect binding".
Other than some greasy fingerprints, with maybe 3 or 4 exceptions, all pages are still attached to the bindings. A couple of them I bought used off eBay....
I'm definitely going to make sure to treat them well, now that I know the bindings are a problem...
