Grrrrrr. In DE, PA, NJ, VA, and MD there is one dealer that rents a Road Glide. And they are the most expensive one and almost 3 hours away.

MM ~ just think how easy it will be to swap the FatCat over a RG, now that you're "trained"!

Did ya ever think there might be a reason that they are the most expesive rental?

300 miles: 25 bucks for gas
1 RG rental: 175 bucks
Actually owning an RG: priceless

LOL. I doubt I would do it. It would probably get sold. The Fat Cat isn't all I was hoping for.

MM - At this point, I would look to convert yours. It can't be that tough and would be a fun project. If you find yourself in the Portland, OR area, give me a holler. You can take mine for a ride.

Thanks for the offer simcom. I'd take you up on it if we were closer.

You too Biggzed on the offer. Unless I can find a dealer that would do a really good deal on a used 06 for a used 06, conversion is what I was thinking too. I mean I already have the same gauges and stereo. That is a start.

Can anyone point me to the thread where someone did this swap?? I think they listed all of the parts necessary if I am not mistaken. Just like to see what the cost would be.

Rented a RG for a day, it was good, but more wind up thru the middle of the fairing than my UC. That was several yrs ago. I prefer the UC for wind protection.

I went from an Electra Glide Classic to my Road Glide. I still like the looks of the batwing better, that is the only part I like better. There is no comparison in handling, the Road Glide wins hands down. As someone else said, try both on a windy day, wow what a difference!!

I went from a roadglide to a E-glide classic, and then a ultra. I like the ultra for the weather protection and I found it had way less buffeting than the road glide. When I had my RG in 2002 it was extremely uncommon to even see one, now they are much more common. I would consider another one if it came rigged out like a ultra.
