I'm wondering if any options exist for a blacked out dash for a road king. Hoping for a black switch as well as the dash panel itself. Any suggestions?

Mine is actually vanity. My RKS has a black dash (and pretty much everything else) but the plastic insert has what I liken to 1970's sliver striping and diamond plate-like patterns, as well as a way to conspicuous chrome ignition switch. I found a black switch, but it aftermarket and I'm not too keen on that. If I can find a factory switch, that will resolve that part of the puzzle. Then there's the insert, and lastly the chrome ring around the gauge. HD makes black trim for the smaller gauges, but seems nothing for the larger diameter gauges.

 

I use my local powder coater to make things black that were once chrome. Then I do not have an extra chrome one taking up storage space. Been working out for me for a while now. Good luck.

 

You say black is played out..I dont spend 8 hours on a Saturday cleaning my black..wash and go..

Thanks. I actually have a Special. I was looking for all black, getting rid of the silver and faux diamond plate design on the factory insert.

But thanks for that Pn. May be worth a look if it can be powdered all black.
