What are the chrome pieces that run down the back fender that the saddle bag supports bolt to, and who makes the best ones, and it isn't Harley. OEM break quite often down at the bottom.

Drag Specialties offers saddlebag fender supports that are

• Heavy-duty steel construction

• 15% thicker than stock plates to prevent breakage

Thank you so muchThankTwistedCherokee and Dawg I sure do appreciate the information. I like that part about being 15% thicker. I also am thinking about the ebay Quick fix, and grinding and slotting till I can bolt both together so I never have to worry about it again.

Yup, not only are they thicker, they have a little gusset formed into the 90 degree bend where mine kept breaking. (Where the red circle is) Replaced with these and problem solved. Did both sides for insurance. 03 FLHRIC by the way.......

i have used these ones, or at least they look the same and are similarily priced as ones i bought years ago, on my bike and a buddy's bike, both '07's. they are strong, bolt right up and i always kept a set on the bike in case someone needed one while we were on a trip. mine had broke in Michigan and we were lucky enough that the dealer had the whole part, but way pricier than the repair kit.
