Default 96ci bolt on power increase

Newbie here. Long story to get to my point. So bare with me. First bike at 25. Loved it. Rode it often but it was an 800cc on a large frame bike. Not enough power. Had to sell it. Last year 10 years later I finaly bought a roadking. My first Harley. Then I lost it on a hairpin curve on the pig trail north of eureka springs. I haven't been back on until this year due to healing a broken bone and searching for a new Harley. Now I have an 08 anniversary edition ultra classic with a 96ci motor. I'm about 6ft 260 and my wife is 5ft 5 120. I'm not one to ride real crazy especially after my wreck. But I need just a little more power and torque. I was hoping for some bolt on mods that might suffice.

I had an 08 anny ultra. I changed the gearing with a EVO Industries 49 tooth ring gear conversion, dropped in a Zippers Redshift 575 cam and ran a D&D Fatcat 2-1 pipe and stage 1 AC. All bolt on mods. Had enough power to haul the wife and I around.

My '08 Road King stage 1 , K&N air cleaner, Reinhart 3 1/2" slip ons and Fuel Moto Powervision really improved the stock performance.

Define your version of "bolt-on" b/c it differs fm person to person. You looking at simple after-market adds (e.g. intake, exhaust, tuner), or motor upgrades (stage 1/2/3/4/)?

Also, any type of projected budget???

I have 08 ultra and thought about doing the jap 68t sprocket.

can you tell me more about the 49 tooth ring gear conversion and what to expect ?

woukd the two be basically achieving the same goal?

+1.

I was at the dyno session where forum member 23Seven's 96" Road King put down 96hp and 108ft lbs with Andrews 48s cams and supporting mods.

If I'm not mistaken, the 48 was designed for the TC96. 2 cams, 48 + 48 = 96!

It does basically achieve the same result. It addresses the too tall gearing of the 07-08 TC96’s. Made first gear and 6th gear much more useable.

This sounds like a good start. I was wanting to use some 4" dual pipe . My crossovers are restricting and not letting it flow like it should. K&N is never a bad choic .

I'm not looking to spend a lot at a time. Just gradual changes. Exhaust, air cleaners, basically whatever I can do without having to pull the engine. A tuner may be a good choice too. I have been looking at a Big bore 110 advertised as not having to pull the engine but I'm skeptical.
