Quick little tip that someone showed me a looong time ago: Put the cap in your hand that is not holding the pump handle. Then when passing the pump handle over your tank going to or from the gas hole, hold the gas cap UNDER the nozzle end of the pump handle. You'll never forget your cap AND it keeps gas from dribbling over your tank, etc.
Very good practice to keep those dribbles from hitting the tank.
I picked up a few of these for me and some friends. They work like a charm and you can't beat the price.

I used to work at BIG A Auto before they folded then at Carquest.
Didn't have listed in the book then, but tried a few and found one that fit.
But too many years and beers so don't remember which one. BUt was about
1/2 of HD's price back then.
But sometime when you have time try Napa they usually have a wider variety.

Tried getting one at an Advanced Auto parts store. No luck. What do you ask for in case I am on the road again and make the same mistake? T.
