extra wind protection
So I picked up my 16 FLXHS about a month ago and so far it's amazing. Especially coming from a 2000 Fat Boy with a **** ton of problems. About two weeks ago I rode it to California and really only had one issue. When using my highway pegs, the wind would use my nuts as a speed bag which for obvious reasons becomes uncomfortable after hours in the saddle. Looking at Harley's P&A it looks like I have two options and I am hoping someone here can offer some input. These look like they would be pretty gaudy and noticeable since they attach to the fairing. https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...oke/p/57000529. The other option I was looking at was these https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...rs/p/57400146A. The fork deflectors seen like they would look a little better. Has anyone used either of these products?
I have the fork deflectors on my Heritage and they helped with the wind situation tremendously. Don't think it did my mileage any good but who cares!

I hate the look of fork deflectors, but given your criteria of 'using highway pegs' I'd have to go with that option. I have the adjustable fairing wings (first option) and I like them, but they do nothing for the highway peg air.
I'm tall and like my legs stretched out and low on the pegs, gives the wind a straight shot up to my face. Fairing lowers did WONDERS for that and they look great IMO.

I have both on mine. I think the fork deflectors did more than the fairing deflectors but both together work good to stop the wind. Don't forget the one that goes between the forks https://www.jpcycles.com/product/230...-air-deflector

Haha I actually dig the RG but the dealership I was at only had bikes outside of what Harley was willing to give me.
So are you going to add anything of value to this conversation or just complain?
