Default Super Slab Ride

I have always hated the super slab. But I have been riding a LOT of backroad, town and twisty miles lately. Tonight I went on a good run after the rain let up. I decided to hit the open highway and open her up a little. Man, I got home and you could not pry the smile off my face. I hit the interstate and ran her anywhere from 70-75 mph. The bike was more comfortable than my couch and way more fun. I see a many of the forum members have issues with their 07s. I must be lucky, other than heat mine so far is a dream. I just wanted to post something positive. Now to try and get this sh*t eatin grin off my face.

Nothing better than taking the RG out on the expressway on the way to work. I have about 40miles to Chicago most mornings and it puts a smile on my face at 4:30 in themorning. Kepp the rubber side down.

I agree. Over the 4th of July my Dad and I ran down to Hollister for the Rally. We took the coast route all the way down, so I got to really test the new bikes handling. It was great. We both had to work on Monday, so we had no choice but to leave Hollister early Sunday morning and head straight to I-5 for 700 miles. I was really dreading it, but ended not being so bad. 75 - 85mph the whole day and it was just purring along. If I had been on my old '99 RKC, it would have been torture.

The Road Glide is the best touring bike HD makes IMO.

ps. Got my first taste of lane splitting on that trip. That will keep you awake.

I agree - sometimes SS is fun. We live in centraleast coastFL and about 1/4 of the timeI'll alsorun the puppy up to Daytona, over to Orlando, or down to Vero instead of doing the A1A putt.

My '07'loves runing 70-75 too simcom... (or just tadbit more)

Yep, nothing better than cruisin down the road with the cruise control set at 75, relaxing and letting the stress bleed off into the wind.

The sweet thing about the 6-speed is it's just gettingSTARTEDat 70mph. Twist the wick and kiss the traffic goodbye! Don't even have to downshift to pass, just let 'er rip![sm=gears.gif]
