Reman vs Longblock
Does anyone know when the longblock program started? My little bit of research shows 2014, but I found a pleasant surprise last night. I have a 2000 Ultra, and I knew it had a Remanufactured engine in it from Harley and just assumed it was the 88, since they used to rebuild the original engine. I was looking over the paperwork again last night, and realized it actually has a 96" engine in it, but the service work to install that was in 2012, so I am a little perplexed. I was hoping someone had some knowledge of how they used to do these programs like this, so I can understand more of the history of my bike.
Yep, you are right roussfam, for some reason I was thinking the 96 was 1450, but you're right that was the 88. So the motor was a reman like I thought. Sorry for the brain-fart!
