Default Handlebar height

I recently purchased a used 2021 Roadking. I had a 2020 Deluxe that I put 14 inch Carlini gangster apes. My Roadking is being shipped to me from up north and I am wondering about the seat height in relation to bar height on the touring frame vs softail frame ?

Seat height is in the manual. Search for it

Huh? This isn't helpful at all. You might want to re-read the question.

That's very charitable of you. I think you'll find that difference between seat height and bar height is greater on softail frame so you'll likely want taller bars on the RK, but I can't speak definitively so hopefully someone more familiar with the differences will chime in.

I’d determine if you can deal with the stock seat first.I changed my seat after I did my bars and ended up doing the bars again.

Agree. I end up with 16” apes on every harley i own eventually. Seat height and position does really change things though. Have never liked a stock seat.

Thank you for the replies and good things to think about. My new bike has a mustang wide touring seat on it. The dealer from where I am purchasing the bike isn’t a Harley dealer and doesn’t have access to the original seat. I did put a Corbin solo seat on my deluxe and it was really a great for me. I will probably go with the same on the road king as my wife doesn’t ever ride with me and I like the smooth fender look. I think doing the seat first , extending the footboards , brake , and shifter levers will be second and then hopefully will figure out the bars. Hopefully there will be a few Black Friday sales !

My buddy swapped out the crappy stock bars on his 2017 Road King for 16 inch ape hangers soon after he bought it new.

I thought those ape hangers would be too high until I rode it. I was amazed how comfortable the ride was with those bars.

If I were to get a new Road King, installation of some apes would be my first priority.
