Default Additional oil drain plug on M8

Doing my first oil change, and don't have a service manual yet..but my question is on the m8 engine, is there a second drain plug (not mentioned in the owners manual) to check or maybe drain any standing oil, say in crank or sump area? . I prefer to get out as much as possibe and it seems I might be a 1/2 - 1 quart shy in my drain pan.
thanks!, Brian

stop right there, walk away and begin again with the manual.

Nope, just the usual 3 plugs, with an additional plug that you do not remove. There is a diagram in the owner's manual. Just make sure she is up to normal operating temps. If the bike is new, they will usually use a little bit of oil during break in and ring seating.

Put that wrench down, and back away from the bike, until you look in the owner’s manual.

Somewhere in this forum is a labeled picture of the underside. I’ll look for it.

Here ya go, this’ll help:

Just change the oil as normal and ride. Use any oil you wish it dies not madder. You jack with thinking for some reason you need to get every drop out Best case you just waste time worst case you mess up a case.
They have been selling the BS about about syn a standard oils not being mixed for over 20 years. There was nothing to it then , nothing to it now. You are not the first person to switch to SYN it will not madder one bit.

take the plug out and tell us what's in the hole? I don't know I haven't it taken out. But what's the worst that can happen? You have put some pipe dope and reinstall it?
