Default CVO seat from newer Limited's

curious if the CVO seat with the lower lumbar support looking piece pushes you forward or not? Seat looks pretty nice but I do not want to be sitting any closer than a "normal" stock seat. Current bike is a 17 FLHX for reference (street glide standard)

part number in question is 52000441

here's an old thread that has some pics of what I'm talking about.

I had that seat on my 2021 CVO and can say it does not put you forward. If you measure the length of the seating area it is no shorter than any other seat, just looks like it. My beef with the back pad is that it forces your passenger’s legs to be on top of the pad or around it. My wife did not like it.

Seats are very subjective. I like my cvo seat just fine and so does my wife. She's a bit vertically challenged, once I adjusted the passenger floorboards to the high setting, all was good.

My brother bought a 2020 CVO Limited last year. We're both about 6' tall and yes, the lumbar pad on the seat pushed me forward a bit too much. You can see from the pic of me on the bike just how thick that padding is. He's got another seat on the bike now, I'll dig up a pic.

Thanks for input guys

I'm 5 11 but short legs so a touch closer would be ok I'm sure but anything substantial would suck. For instance when I bought my bike the previous owner gave me his Le Pera seat. I didn't realize it was a reach seat and I threw it on one day to check it out and just laughed at how close I was. And cramped.

You'll be fine at your height. The thing with the cvo seat is it makes you ride a bit upright and for riders that are used to slouch in the seat its a bit different. I'm 6'1" and its fine for me.

I agree with this. I’m 6 0. The issue was my passenger who is 5 1

we're all built different, I have long legs and that seat feels cramped to me (and my brother). Comfy as hell though!

Yeah passenger is concern.

I think I'll try to swing in to couple local dealers. Check out what's available for testing vs buying an unknown
