Default Wiring question?

I am removing the handlebar mounted speakers on my ‘09 road king. This gray connected is a here the power is coming from, my question is can I unplug it and leave it there or should it be capped or something. It is a constant hot.

If nothing is to be plugged in get an empty housing and plug that in to protect the pins.

If nothing else, just wrap it in electrical tape to protect it.

Thanks for the replies. I can remove the wire from the other half of the plug and snap it back on so it’s covered. Not quite sure why the power was spliced in like that when it could have just been hooked to the battery.
