103 heat issues
I have a 2012 Street Glide, Arlen Ness big sucker, aftermarket headers, and CFR slipons. My rear exhaust at the engine is way too hot, even on short rides. Any help would be appreciated
Some things you can do to improve ride comfort:
1) Remove the factory catalytic converter.
2) Add heat shields to the bike under the front of the seat if it doesn't already have them.
3) Tune the ECM using something like an FP3, Powervision or Thundermax tuner. This will improve air / fuel ratio and lower engine temperatures.
4) install your choice of cooling / heat extracting fan on the bike. There is one that sucks heat from behind the engine and blows it under the bike.
5) install floorboard spacers to allow air space between hot surfaces and flesh.

I have fullsac performance ceramic coated head pipes, Arlen Ness, big sucker air cleaner, stage one download, and Cfr slip on exhaust pipes. No Catalytic.
